What are beadlock wheels and why should I consider them? Beadlock wheels clamp the bead of the tire to the wheel though the use of a beadlock ring and a series of bolts. This type of wheel was originally developed for military vehicles, allowing them to run lower air pressure and handle larger torque loads. What that means for you? By airing down your tires you increase the tread patch of your tire that makes contact with the ground meaning you get more traction.
